Happy New Year From Orlando!

Happy New Year friends and family from Orlando, Florida! We are here in Orlando with 650 college students attending Campus Outreach's annual Christmas Conference that runs December 28th through January 1st. It is just a couple of hours away from the new year and the boys are not quite to the point where they can make it to ring in the new year. We have had a great time at the Conference though there have been some obstacles along the way. Matt Chandler, who was to be our conference speaker was diagnosed with brain cancer on Thanksgiving and underwent surgery just a couple of weeks ago. They were able to get most but not all of it. Currently he has started chemotherapy and radiation and will continue for a couple of months. Instead we had two Campus Outreach Regional Directors step in and the Lord has used them to speak boldly to students. We know that His plan is greater than ours and that He will bring great things from this time. In fact He already has, a Georgia Southern student committed her life to Christ the second day we were here and there has been great rejoicing among our students and staff. It has been so stimulating spiritually to be among so many vibrant young students desiring to know the Lord. He has been showing me what a privledge our family has in being in ministry and that our labor and our partnership is not in vain! I pray as this new year comes to pass that you too would be encouraged by all the Lord is doing in and around you and your family and that this year would be one of knowing Him more! I am praying this for our family as well! I wanted to leave you with a few highlights and pictures from this week so far.

Playing on the playground on the free day!

I will be sharing more pictures and updates from the conference next week but I wanted to take some time now to share just a bit of what is going on here and to wish you all a very happy New Year from our family to yours!
